I’m usually very vocal about privacy, security and freedom.
So the suggestion that COVIDSafe is an application that conflicts with these concerns would stop me loading this application, full stop!
The truth is that I have so many apps loaded and I have a mobile phone 24×7, that my movements would be very trackable by the people who already have the authority, power and tools to do this.
So where to stand?
I’m taking the position that I have a responsibility as a community member to contribute to reasonable action to assist with COVID-19 tracking and protect my tribe.
My top 3 reasons for participating:
- To contribute to a reasonable effort to manage the progress and impact of the virus,
- To provide the best opportunity for me to avoid being a unwitting contributor of the virus spread and,
- To give me the best chance of self protection in the event I’m in contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive.
